IVCF Graduate & Faculty Ministry Campus Staff Member, Associate Staff: the Christian Medical and Den
Hank guides witnessing communities of Christian graduate and professional students and faculty members within within the university context. Campus fellowship chapters provide opportunities for students & faculty members to gather in large and small groups for Bible study, prayer, discussion, and learning. Spiritual formation occurs as members share ideas, nurture their passions, submit their thoughts and lives to scripture, and cultivate Christian practices and service on a regular basis. In his role as graduate and faculty campus minister, Hank connects the local ministry to national resources and offers pastoral care and spiritual direction amidst the rigors of academic and professional development and the ups and downs of daily life.
Hank has been on staff with IVCF since 1994 and has been with IV's Graduate & Faculty Ministry in Chapel Hill since 1999 where he works with a network of Christian faculty members, the Graduate IVCF Chapter (FOCUS), the MBA Christian Fellowship (Christians@Kenan-Flagler). He periodically partners with the UNC Christian Medical & Dental Association chapters as well as the UNC Christian Legal Society chapter.
Hank is married to Tara, who is an occupational therapy assistant, and they have three adult children, Nathanial, Benjamin, and Glorianna, who are all attending college at Durham Tech or UNC Chapel Hill. He also serves as an ordained deacon with All Saints Church (Anglican) in Durham, NC.
